Getting Indon maid back direct without going agency

I am getting my ex maid back from Indonesia (had to send her back 2 years ago when she was found pregnant by her husband during a home leave) A call to Nation agency confirmed that it is a must, as stipulated by Indonesia embassy, that we must let agency handle all the paper work in Indonesia and Singapore. I know it was not like this previously.

Is this true? I will still want to explore getting her back without going thru hefty agency fees to both my helper and myself.

any advice or any reliable agency to handle such paper work? Thanks

I m very sure that Indonesia side, you need a agent that is registered with Indonesia govt. however over at s'pore side you may be able to do without an agent. You can perhaps deal with the Indonesia agent directly. That way you may cut agency fees from spore side. I think this is one possible way. Not sure if it it's ok, never try before.

I see, perhaps I shd ask my helper to check out which agent is good for her to go to and I work from there.

Hope for a good outcome for you- please share as I may need to do the same. Helper went back for good recently. She wants to return next year. If only I knew... would have just renewed her work permit. Sigh...

I intend to get her back next end May. have not thought about her salary, maybe $480 since it will be her 4th year with us. Also aware that she may not take all sundays off, may end up paying above $500.

since she is very good, I have no issue paying her a few tens more to ensure everyone in the family is happy. Think its worth it.

My prob now is: if I call agency they may tell me no choice must go thru them. Tried calling Indonesia embassy today a few times and yet no one pick up the call.

I am trying to find out if its true that we must go thru agency in Singapore and Indonesia.

Juts text helper to find out from her side in Indonesia. Still waiting for response.

anyone who did direct hire in Nov 12 can confirm the latest process? Thanks

thats a good option, is it feasible? Will MoM renew and then see the records from Immigration that she flew out for a few months?

No, then you would have to pay for her levy all the while.
I don't think you can get a refund of levy for such a long period.

MOM is not the problem here at all. Employer can apply for a permit or renew existing permit without going through an agency.
The problem is whether she will be allowed to exit her country.

Posting my reply which I just posted in anther similar thread. Can I suggest that the threads be merged?

--------

Can't comment on tourist passport holders but I presume this info applies to those holding the domestic worker passport. Indon workers (or just maids?) now need a red card called the KTKLN which can only be obtained in Indonesia, as of earlier this year. The card is needed if the maid returns for a home visit and then is coming back to Singapore again. While still in Indon, she needs to go to an authorized agent to apply for this KTKLN, which doesn't cost much. You can get the list of agents from the Indon Embassy and send her the details of the one closest to her home.

Once she has the KTKLN, you can send her the e-ticket for her to fly to Singapore and make sure you have done all the MOM online application. You MUST also complete the security bond or buy the insurance for it and submit the details to MOM before your maid arrives in Singapore, or she will be denied entry and sent back to Indonesia on the next flight. The insurance company can submit the details for you to MOM. It is not good enough for you to have the physical security bond document in your hands. It is useless if the info is not in MOM's system. MOM transmits the info to ICA which then allows or denies maid entry into Singapore. So do this a few days before she arrives.
