My Myanmar maid from https://ablebest.com.sg/ is good. Always interview your maids before deciding on them. If your gut feelings tells you yes, then go for it. If you feel like something is odd then just kindly reject her. Able Best werent pushy with their maids. My interview with my maid went really well which is why i choose her afterall. Quite lucky.

HI guys , i found my myanmar maid placing a pair of her shoes under my bed. Is there any particular reason why she did that? I am worried if it's a curse or something like that?

I am a Burmese grew up in Singapore and I employ Burmese maid. Please do not let her put any shoes. I don't know what it means but maybe someone might have told her to do so.

I cld still bring in brand new, totally no SG experience Mynmar girl for $450-480. Those with experience will depend what they are capable of performing. If cannot speak English & only day “Yes Mdm” all the way then if teachable type, still $450-480. If cared for elderly but can’t cook (must find out if they say can cook means their Mynmar food only or can cook local or Chinese food), and at least a year but less than 2 years $500. If the girl hv good track record of at least 4 years with one eyer,

I strictly do not provide Wi-fi or off-days until the girl has settled in well in her job for 6-12 mths, depending on how fast & obedient they learn. At all times, need to ustand their perspective & what yardstick they’re using bcoz very diff in stds & they all wish to earn high high like Indo & pinos.

Abv only my own assessment. I’ve come across all sorts of maids. $500 is very good to turn their life ard. My previous maid started buying land for her parents to farm within one month. Thereafter she saved enuf for uni back in Mynmar.

Btw, there are Mynmar agents who operated as monks & pastor but recommend girls fr their village to Spore & wants to take 3 mths’ of salary just for recommending. They offer no training & their u’stand’g of the girls knowing how to cook, wash or clean is totally diff. They claim their train the girls in English, apply their passport & give them housing in Yangon esp for those coming fr villages with poor Wi-Fi connection to stay & take calls for eyers. Most girls can’t dpeak English well & are prompted in the bkgrd. For these theyvtske 3 mths fr each girl! Some girls come into Spore with undetected pre-existing conditions.

So be very careful!

Thanks, that's quite insightful.

But we wont know their background and how well they claim they are till they reach our home right?

Telecom interview (WhatsApp, Viber...) but if they’re not in Yangon or they’re in Chin State, connect may be poor. Ask them if they can buy a India SIM Card. Better reception for them.

Ask very detailed questions. Don’t just accept a “yes mam“ answer. Ask them to describe their day fr the time they wake up, how they wash, how they cook whatever dishes. Ask them what they get for salary when they started, not bundle after eyer pay them off-day compensation. Some can’t cook & just microwave food or only cook maggi noodles or porridge (without ingredients)!

Pls get them to do medical checks before applying WP.
