Direct hire a filipino maid?

Postby deepa » Fri Nov 29, 2013 11:02 pm

Hi,

Just wondering if its still possible to hire a filipino maid directly or with low agency/maid loan.
My ex- helper recommends her cousin, but she's just worried about the agency/loan she needs to pay.
Any comments/advise is highly appreciated
Thanks

Hi I have PM you, gone are the days where agency fees was lower, now everything is higher even for Indonesian maids.
Let me remind that its against the Phillipine labour here to do any salary deduction of maids. I know some agencies are lowering their agency fees but deducting 3-6 months of the maid salary, but its just a matter of time before they get blacklisted or suspended.
