I don't specially clean for CNY. So no schedule! Anyway, no-one is planning to visit me, and the only ones who might come will be old friends who won't care.

started spring cleaning 2 weeks back...
- took out curtains, wash them and put back...
- will take out all the cups, plates, bowls, pots, pans, cutleries to wash, dry and put them back. give away or throw unwanted ones and reorganize them
- will clean all the windows, window grills, blinds, doors etc
- take out all the clothes to fold, arrange neatly and give away unwanted ones and reorganize them
- pack the storeroom, shoe cabinets, living room cabinet, kids cabinet, clean all the shelves, wires behind TV etc
- will put up CNY deco next week when i am done with the above this week
- days before CNY will take out everything from the fridge, clean it and reorganize. will clean the stove, oven, kitchen cabinets, polish sofa... clean windows, polish glass doors again (get rid of finger prints)
- CNY eve will change bed sheet, wash all worn clothes, wash toilets, polish the floor etc

if i meet my friends during cny, it would probably be outside.
if they do come to my place, they won't bother whether i use a brown or green curtain.
i am particular about hygiene...80% is sufficient...once can pass my own test, good enough. :dancing:

but YES to changing bed sheet on eve of cny.

have been 'trained' by my mum since young... and after i started my own family, i followed her style of doing it. i do not only spring clean before CNY... i do it 2 to 3 times a year... prefer my house to look neat, tidy and organized whether or not i have visitors. i hope my kids will follow suit when they have their family when they grow up. DECLUTTER!!!

anyone buys new bedsheet, towels specially for CNY? i only buy clothes, shoes, underwear for CNY. used to buy new bedsheet when i started my own family... but realized that there is no space for new ones if i do not get rid of the old! and bed sheets are not cheap and get worn out easily (change once a week)... so now i have one set of bed sheet and towels that i use only once a year... just for CNY!

i like my place to look neat and presentable anytime...not just because of cny. every now and then, i do clear the kids' rooms & cupboards. pull out everything and fold clothes nicely. but i normally do this on the day i vacuum.

trained from young to be presentable. maybe on the eve of cny, i will stick a new piece of mr muscle in the toilet bowl.

already put up cny décor.

i buy new bed sheet for cny.
as for new clothes, i couldn't be bothered...but make sure hubby and kids wear new clothes to have the FEEL.

bed sheets are not cheap...i change every week. after cny, i will use it as per normal.
so i buy better quality ones but can't afford Sheridan.
