Hi,
What do you generally do when we get to know the maid's age in passport and her actual age are different. Do we need just ignore.

I heard of one case, the employer sued the agent. (Problematic maid. I think she stole something).
I don't know what the outcome was.

well, if MOM can issue wp then its no problem. I had many that were underage. no complains so yes, if shes ok then dont bother.

So many indon maids over declare age to get work. 14 yo can come in as 24 yo. Very little of their CV is accurate. Another is dead husband can come alive.

haha!! cute but true.. Its normally the Indons and the mynmars that fraud their ages, not the phillippinas tho. Well at least phillippines is strict when it comes to their age.
Some dont have 8 to 9 years education but MOM dont seem to care.

In Indon, many in village are born w/o birth certs and there is no national registry. Their first official doc is their passport, leaving it is up to them to declare.

My friend's sister hired a myanmar maid who also fake her age to be older than 23 years old to be eligible to come to Singapore to work.Her sister is unaware that she is younger than 23 years old until.she saw the actual person when she arrived as maid bio data indicate 23 years old earlier on during the selection process.

If u tell the agent, he probably tell u he rely on the biodata given as its really hard for him to see tha actual person cos the agents dnt normally go to Burma.
