It takes couple of hours only.

You need to print a form from Indo Embassy, ask your FDM to fill and sign with blue pen. Check out at Indo Embassy website. Everything is written there.

Submission of documents in from 9am to 12noon.
Collection is 3 days later from 2pm to 5pm (Ramadan period till 4pm only).

As advised above, you need to download a form from Indo embassy and ask your maid to fill. Other documents required are:

- Original and photocopy of work permit
- Original and photocopy of Employer NRIC
- Original and photocopy of 1st and last page of maid's pp

The queue outside the security office starts as early as before 8am, though the office only open at 9am. Bring additional identification cards such as driving licence, NTUC card, Ezlink card, Passioncard etc to exchange for the visitor pass at the security office. 1 card for employer, 1 card for maid.

Step 1: Go to first floor to get queue number and wait for number to be called to submit the documents to the counter. Ensure all documents are ready, form filled, photocopied etc to avoid delays.

Step 2: make payment at payment counter

Step 3: wait for Maid's name to be called and maid will go in a room to take photo

Step 4: go up to 2nd floor to get a new contract done. Discuss and agree with your maid in advance for salary and off day matters. Info is required when the embassy staff print out the new contract.

On day of pp collection, must bring along the receipt and contract.

some reference information on renewal of Indonesian maid passport.
Apparently the fee is now $38 (used to be $35).
The $38 includes photography.

I have just renewed my Indonesian's helper passport from Singapore embassy. However, I noticed that the employer's address was not filled in on the last page and neither was there an endorsement stamp. When I called the embassy to check, I was told that since it is the new biometric passport, the employer's address is no longer needed to be visible in the passport as it is all in the biometric chip. Has anyone's helper travelled with the new biometric passport without the usual endorsement stamp and not experienced any issues?
