Maid fasting for Ramadhan

My Indonesian maid requested to fast during Ramadan month, anyone has experience of this? She has been a good worker, 3 years with me and promised she will do all her work as usual. I know the agency states no fasting, but I'd like to be flexible. Interested to hear from anyone who has allowed this.

I don't have a maid myself but know my MIL's Indo maids (over the yrs) do fast during Ramadan. Exact details I'm not sure...

They are used to fast during the Ramadhan. Should be alright. My maid fast too and she does her work well as per normal.

My mum used to have a maid who requested to fast too. We had no issue with that and she did her work as per normal.

No issues. My maid fasts as well.
Only thing is when cooking she will sometimes ask me to taste, sweet enough, salty enough cos she cannot do any tasting.

Thanks for all the replies. I said ok to her but to stop if she cannot manage. She seemed happy and grateful with that.

I allow my maid to fast too. The only problem I have with her when she fast is her mouth stinks during this period of time. Other than this she still work as usual.

I think it is wrong of the agency to say no fasting - this is a religious obligation for them and they should be given the freedom to do it.

My MIL' maid also wanted to fast but after a few days if fasting, she said she cannot take it anymore...said she was very hungry so in end she didn't complete her fasting..
So far none of my maids requested for fasting...in fact, my last one even ate pork while she was working for me!
Said nobody see her here so she eat then when she go home she don't eat.

I had a friend whose maid fast and then fainted at home for 4hrs... she was taking care of a baby.... the baby cried ans cried till the neighbour called my friend to come home...
