Tumble dryer recommendations

I am looking for a new tumble dryer. My Indesit, which I've had for about 15yrs (lightly used), is showing signs of imminent collapse. I have seen sales for a brand "Kuche" - does anyone have experience with this? Is it reliable? I only want something very basic as I don't use my dryer much, only for ensuring that heavier items are really dry. Also, if anyone has news of a good discount somewhere, please let me know. I don't usually go shopping so I never know where the sales are. Thanks for any info!

I bought a Fisher&Paykel Dryer for only $499 from Goh Ah Bee last month. It is able to dry clothes up to 6kg in weight, a very basic dryer, but suits my purpose perfectly. Like you, I do not use the dryer on a daily basis, more for heavy clothes, blankets or clothes that I need to dry faster.

Goh Ah Bee
210 Hougang Street 21

Although GAB is in Hougang, they will gladly deliver the item anywhere in Singapore and the best part is that you don't even need to go down personally to their shop to make a purchase. Can call them to place the order.

Hope that helps.

For dryer, I was advised not to get those using push button to start...when spring inside breaks due to wear and tear, changing the switch is expensive.

I have tried Brandt and Electrolux brands. Personally I would prefer Electrolux brands. But nowadays, the parts are manufactured in one place and assembled in another place. So like Electrolux, the parts are produced in Thailand while assembled elsewhere; while Brandt is a French brand. As I depend on dryer a lot, so getting a good and lasting machine is important. So far these two brands have sustained their machine life cycle fully. No regrets getting these two brands.
