I visited an agency and the fees is quite a lot (exclude those recoverable from domestic helper).

If you have employed a new Pinoy helper recently (past 6 months), what are the charges that your agency collected from you?

May I know the lead-time for hiring a new maid too - that is, the time between your confirmation to hire a maid and she is physically on board? Thanks much.

About $2000 to hire a new maid, excluding the recoverables (Loan). The lead time is about 6 weeks.

Currently looking for a helper to replace the old one, hence have been asking around this few days.

Wah, you lucky to get a Chinese speaking Myanmar maid.

Psst, can PM me the $1089 agent info or not?

$15xx to $17xx is quite common.

Sometimes they gang up to provide same pricing, remember the few years back case of price fixing by some few big name agencies and they are fined for anti-competition.

Everything in for 1) agency fee, 2) insrance with run-away bond, coverage, 3) work permit cost for MOM, maid's medical check-ups, thumbprint , all the documentation like contract, salary & loan schedule etc done by agent was $1089. Maid's loan fully recoverd back is 1 month's salry. The fee for Indonesia maid is about the same for my agent. But for other agents are about $1,500 to $1700 all in.

For Filipino maid , my agent never provide . My colleague recently employed one ex-SG Filipino from one agency in Bukit Timah , total all in for POEA cost, MOM work permit, agency fee , insurance with run away bond coverage , maid's medical check-up , thumbprint is $1588 ( exclude loan 4 months).
Really? That's cheap! I was quoted by Dans services for $2000, I think that is considered expensive. Now I have another agent quoted me $989 for agent fee for ex-spore maid, excluding maid insurance

I changed the agency after the lousy services and supply low quality maid. The new agency charged me

Agent fee $688 (no replacement)
If 2 free replacement will be $888
Insurance $294
Maid loan depends on the number of months and salary
