Don’t know anyone personally but hearsay from educators, only allowed for special cases - eg medical, bullying cases, etc

Thank you. Asking for a foster child. Need to submit unique case by case reason, and depends on P’s approval I guess.

Ultimately, I think the argument has to be that it is better in the interests of the child eg ease of commute or availability of caregiver (for medical case), avoidance of confrontation (for bullying case) etc. XYZ is a better fit for my gifted / HA kid would most definitely not make it.

The child is opposite of HA lah. Foundation subjects. So the issue is whether the schools are willing to take on a LA child so close to PSLE year.

An earlier post mentioned that transferring to a different school is akin to musical chairs. Has the musical chairs began for academic year 2020? It would be appreciated if the two schools and level be shared for any success stories. Thanks.

Musical chairs has not commenced yet for P4 (2020). Must wait for those P3 kids selected for GEP to accept their GEP offer (if they wish), indicate their 3 choices, wait for MOE to allocate the places to them around December. Only then will there be vacant seats freed up in their “abandoned” schools.

FYI hearsay there were 11 boys from ACSJ offered GEP. Not sure how many will choose to be transferred out.
