Yesterday, the school called me and advise me to withdraw due to the demand for SC <1km stands at 140 whereby the supply is 48 seats. She explained to me why it's wiser to withdraw and register at other school where demand in lower. I took the advise. No point banking on balloting when the demand is so high. If I miss this 2C chance at another school, I will have to compete with other parents for a seat in 2Cs. Therefore, I recommend those parents who registered their child in a school which has high demand to reconsider withdrawing and register in another school with higher chance in Phase 2C. 2 more hours before closing date. Good luck.
The school will only contact those who are > 1km to withdraw, as these people will have zero chance.
For Yishun, plenty of available places < 2km to accommodate those who are balloted out from Chongfu, Huamin and Northland. Thus, people don't mind balloting in those 3 schools even when demand seems high.
