What did you say to your child on the first day of school?

Postby buds » Sat Jan 03, 2009 3:50 am

Heyya all!

What were your last words to your child before he/she left for school on the 1st day, yesterday? I've toned down my kiasu-ism spirit and being
proud of myself for not nagging the words out this year. Seasoned parent they call it.. Heheeee! Chill only..

Just 2 words i said yesterday to my 2 kiddies..
HAVE FUN!

What was yours?

PS : Ok, if including "I Love You" is a total of 5 words for me!

I was in my son's school yesterday to buy his school exercise books. Surprisingly, only 1 kid crying for mummy  . But he certainly made a big fuss. Had to be managed by 2 flustered teachers who remained quite patient.

Get a good seat because you will be sitting at the same place for the rest of the year :D

Heheh... actually, this is dependent more on physique than choice. Teachers will arrange the kids in ascending order - shortest sit in front. Throughout the year, there would be tweaking such that the weakest students will sit in front.

Darn! Can't really remember 'cause I was sick so mind was groggy. But she apparently enjoyed school and is looking forward to more next week. (I wonder if her enthusiasm will maintain when homework finally comes in.)

To ds: Have fun, I'll see you at one.

To dd: Have fun. Remember, I'll be a bit late then usual. Gotta pick ds first.
