Just to add if you use 2B route to enter catholic schools, it is complusory that the child will need to attend cathhecism classes and attend masses in school.

Orb,
That includes kids who are not baptized, but parents are, yes?

Registration for Phase 2B will start tomorrow! What do you think are the chances of balloting for distance category 1-2km for both ACS?

There's a high chance that both ACS conduct balloting for <1km. But there's a slight possibility that ACSJ will still have balloting for 1-2km.

Agree!

To my astonished, this year ACSJ TUR at phase 2B suddenly jumped to the highest among past years. While ACSP looks quite normal, at least as expected.

It's a good school. Most teachers are very d dictated. Some old guards aligned with previous P on her books are treated on fair keel.

Current teacher set tone aright now esp with punctuality. She's steering curriculum towards kids learning values in action. Most parents applaud but not all kids like the tough discipline esp those always late & uncooperative in use of hp, etc. The previous P too lenient & boys saunter in after 7.30am always got away w/o being booked.

She's steering parents fr too much mother-coodling or meddling.

I believe academic is impt but value system just as impt for devpt.

I agree that it's a good school with a good balance between academic and non-academic components. I heard it's better than ACSP nowadays.

Another plus point is that ACSJ only has primary school students, unlike ACSP which shares the compound with secondary school students.

Hi all, my boy is under 2B. Can I register either one ACS tmr and withdraw on the second day if I decided to go to the other ACS?

Yup. That's the reason why our kids & ano good buddy (whose dad was ACSP alumni) choose ACSJ coz the mum went reccee & her boy was terrified when all the sec boys rushed into the canteen. It terrifies the K2 boys back then. :faint:
