I’m also curious how come its the two ACS schools and not the two MGS schools?
Only MGS in Bukit Timah area is popular, so there's no such issue, unlike 2 ACS which both are in the same area.
I am guessing these 3 schools are more popular due to affiliated IB secondary schools.

But there is nothing inherently bad about PLMGS nor GMPS. Dunno why less popular.
However, none of the 3 schools are affiliated to the IB track.
I can't figure why anyone would want to pay $100+ to be part of the O level track.

Because lateral internal transfers are possible, subject to meeting the requirements.

@floppy You mean to say for IB track they don't enjoy affiliation benefit? Only for Express track the boys get affiliation benefit (under Methodist affiliation) to enter ACSI.

Affiliation COP for the primary schools to ACS(I) / ACS (Barker Road) is valid for O level track only. There is no affiliation COP to the IB track, it will purely based on T-score (or the new PSLE AL points).

Same same meaning.

All the Methodist girls do not get into ACSI not bcoz they are not affiliated. ACSI is only admitting boys up till Yr 4.

Fr Year 5 onwards, many make the switch as Year 5 are open to girls - affiliated or otherwise.

Think Singaporeans gotta pay $350/month to be in ACSI O level track... SJI also like dat...
$100+ is for those who received the EESIS grant.

If this happened (again), most probably due to the same scenario whereby the applicants <1km decided to switch to ACSJ in the last minute because they thought they would avoid balloting. But this year ended up they had to ballot for ACSJ instead of ACSP.
