My boy is due to register for P1 this year. We shortlisted Gan Eng Seng (2C <1km), New Town (2A2) and Queenstown (2C 1-2km). Principles have changed within these few years but didn't notice much positive or negative comments. Hence, would like to tap onto your knowledge to share your view or feedback on these 3 schools. Thanks in advance.
I would personally go for Queenstown as the principal was from ACS Primary and I believe he would make a difference there. Just my personal opinion.
Queenstown principle is a lady, but you said "he". Are you talking about same principle? Just to clarify.

Oops sorry. Looks like my information is incorrect. He went to Queensway Secondary, not Queenstown Primary.

We are PR and my child is due for P1 registration. Nearest school <1 km is Henry park but no chance in pH 2 C as all 22 seats are full. Next preference is Fairfield but it seems going to be same but we did registrer the interest.

If we can't get there, next would be New Town or Queenstown primary school.

Which one is better in recent years?

We want to open house in New town and impressed but heard no so good things about this school.

Queenstown, heard some good words but not sure it's true.

Anyone would like to share their experience? May be parents whose Child is already studying in any of these 2 school pls?

Hi ,

My child is in Queenstown Pri too. He enjoys going to school and is happy there. We are glad that we made the decision to send him there although we had other choices (affiliation). School has lot of programs for kids: Swimming Carnival, Sports Day, JA (Financial Literacy), bowling enrichment (P4 n 5), Math Club n E2K for those who are good in Math etc. Staying near to the school means less traveling time, more rest and more time to study. When kids go to P3 and above, need to stay back for CCA or other enrichment program etc. Thus I find that it is more practical to stay near the school.
Some of his friends stay nearby so it’s easy to organise play dates etc.
Just sharing with you all. All the best for the P1 registration.

I just registered this morning! As of 12pm, there's 18 slots available. I'm within 1km, hope will be in bcos I saw at the school, 2 other parent using their new address (yet to be completed property), just like me...

Hi maxbear, for the new address, do they look at the probable completion date or delivery possession date? Cos my delivery possession date is more than 2 years from entering P1 while my probably completion date is within the 2 years..

They look at DPD, as long as it is by 30 Dec 2020. A little over they might consider also according to Moe website. Mine is 30 Nov 2020.
