That is true. I heard that yesterday St Hilda’s called those outside 1km to withdraw their applications.

For those schools who do not wish to reveal distance information, you could explain to them your situation and how you would rather apply to another school under 2B if the chances were poor.

I know they used to do that but i’m not so sure in recent years
No they won’t. My friend kenah wasted her chance becos they never informed her. School too busy to call lah. Especially phase 2C very overwhelming numbers.
Some schools still try to call and inform parents to do their withdrawal if they definitely don't stand a chance. However, a lot depends on the school itself - goodwill and whether there are enough manpower to handle it.

Therefore, a good reason why parents should stop calling the school on / off to ask for updates.

You have a Dragon girl, but do you have a Horse boy or a Cat girl?
That will affect your selection of a single-sex or co-ed school.

If you don't mind the balloting, Hong Wen.
If you prefer not to ballot, Marymount Convent.
You may not stand a chance at Kheng Cheng and CHIJ.
Farrer (and MCS) would still be available as an option in Phase 2Cs.

If that's the case, throw in your application for a lottery ticket at Hong Wen.
If you are balloted in, great.
If not, choose Farrer as the backup option in Phase 2Cs.

You can consider Kheng Cheng if you want higher chance, but if you're willing to take the risk, you can still go for Hong Wen.

But bto bendemeer light residents mostly young couples, children not likely to be 6 years old this year. If they even have children.
