Now that P1 registration is done, we've started to think about how our child will cope in P1. And the worries have been snowballing. Will be great if the more experienced parents can share some useful tips. We know we kiasu, that's why we're here. :lovesite:

My boy is settling in well, thx! Started waking him up at 6am and walking to school to explore the campus during the last 2 weeks of school holidays.

The only problem now is paying attention in class...teacher already feedback cannot concentrate for 30 minute lesson. Expected but I hope he will be "trained" over time.

Great to hear your boy is settling in well, zac's mum!

Did teacher also share what he does when his attention runs out after the 30 minutes... for example, does he walk around the class, fiddle with stationery at his table or just zone out?

I think he will fiddle with his watch or items on the table like stationery, or look around the classroom (eyes not on teacher). Once the teacher caught him reading his science magazine under the table! He already knows (and obeys) from kindergarten that he should not leave his seat or talk to his classmates during lesson time.

This thread is so quiet! How are your P1s surviving so far? Already 8 mths into their primary school life. Heard from some of my friends that their kids have loads of homework daily? Some schools have CA2 coming up is it? Is everybody busy studying with their kids? :scared:
