.
He went for the Trial Class last week. He looked a little wary at first, but joined in all the activities once it started. He said he enjoyed it when I asked him later when we were back home. I signed him up for the regular classes at Bishan. He has no problem understanding Mandarin. Speaks it alright, but lately likes to reply in English ever since going to school. *aargh*.

He goes to school a few hours each morning only. Not CC. Berries should be the 1st lesson he goes unaccompanied. His piano/violin lessons - I go in with him.
Your child is with berries bishan?? Weekend classes? I thought they very packed during weekends. been trying to change slot to no avail.

Would need some time to read up this thread but for the time being, my child is with berries since last year and currently I am deliberating to let him start with piano lessons, mpm or cma. Most likely drop cam.
What is cam?
Haiya, my iPad ke kiang la, go and correct my "cma" to "cam"...

But I thought you haven't started on CMA yet.

is mpm good for maths?
Ksp has a long thread on mpm. Take a look to hv a better understanding. If you are looking for regular math classes that follows moe syllabus, then mpm is not. From what I gather, mpm is more like teach you logical thinking, spatial skills and a bit of right Brain training.

Havent star cma, you are right Phankao. What I meant was - I am considering new classes for my child and cma, mpm and music classes are the potential candidates. But as my son doesn't have much spare time, so need to choose one from the pool available.

At this age, they need time to sleep, play and idle time too. Cannot pack the children's days with classes. All classes no idle makes my son a very grumpy boy :)

Hi,

I brought my DD to a ballet trial last yr, she kept telling me dun wan, wan Mummy inside. 1st trial I went in with her. See she enjoyed. Then ask her if she wan to learn. Said yes. Then I told her I won't be inside the room with her frm the next lesson onwards. Explain to her but she dun listen. So in the end tell me she dun wan to learn. Sigh....
maybe she don't really like ballet.. try gymnastics, music or art. once she find something she like, she will be asking for more lessons ;)

Haha - mine plays a lot already. Only 3yrs old. How to pack their days? I'd be tired too!!! I do like to bring him to the park, beach, cycling, take MRT/LRT, etc.

Haiyo Phankao, haven't you heard of those kids who have so many classes? One of my colleagues' kid was like that. Everyday go cc, then every night has enrichment classes. Only one weekday night no class but that's homework day! Saturday has 3 back to back classes, with a 2 hr lunch break in between. Sunday morning has swimming and then evening has abacus class.

While her son definitely gets to go all the classes that I hope my kid has a chance to go, I think I want my child to sleep more and play more.

I'm not sure how that is workable for a 3yo, lor. Maybe I'm an "old" mummy.... not so energetic to send here and there. My boy's 3 lessons already quite a lot to me. haha! Totals 2.75hrs/week for "enrichment", other than his 3hrs/day preschool.
