Hi Steadyberry.

i received the letter too. Are our kids in the same school ?

LAMDA is The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. it is an internationally recognised certification.

Website here

However I will not be enrolling my son in it as I feel it is too early to have him sit an exam for speech and drama. For now, I would rather have him enjoy it as a non-exam activity that will expose him to language use, public speaking and poetry and as a platform for him to gain confidence.

Just to share.

ds took the exam last yr when he was in K1. He has a great S&D tr. He enjoyed the process. This yr, he told me he wanted to take part in the exam again when I forgot to pass the form to his S&D tr.

He will not be taking part in any of the exams after this yr becos in P1 his primary school's S&D class do not arrange for such exams.

Not trying to influence any decisions, just sharing ds' experience.
