hi there, need some help to solve this question, I can only think of using guess and check to answer. (draw and guess and check), wondering whether is there a shorter way whereby a P2 child will be able to understand.

A drink stall is selling 6 different types of drinks. Sally wants to buy 2 different types of drinks. How many possible ways can she choose from.

In future, please post all academic questions in the AskQ platform where
all questions at all levels and subjects are consolidated.
https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/askq/

At P2 level, they are expected to make a list for this kind of question (not guess and check).

So Sally had to choose 2 from 6 different types: A, B, C, D, E, F

Her choices would be:
AB AC AD AE AF BC BD BE BF CD CE CF DE DF EF

She would have 15 different choices.

Usually you will have to "Make a List" and count the possible combinations

or use colour beads for your child to play around to understand the logics behind.

JTS: Mind Stretcher in Punggol Plaza has a new Sunday class to start. For those who are keen, can register. They need min 4 students to start this new class for 2018.

I'm looking for which math enrichment programme would best suit my P2 girl. She is barely coping in maths (average 50%). She is just not grasping the concepts on how to do the questions well and is de-motivated. It's not an English problem as she scores 80+ for English. She is shut-down and even the 1-1 tutor is not getting good results after a few months. Any programme to recommend that would help her to take in interest in math by working on the concepts in a way she will understand?
