### Re: Math - How to teach problem sums

Well I am in primary 3 and I used to have that problem. My dad helped me by using Lego pieces to be models. For section B, I suggest drawing a model or creating one. But don't create one all the time. Or else he will be dependant on it. Try to ask him what does he think the answer is first and give him clues to solve the problem. For section C, do the same but a bit differently adding more ways.

### Re: Math - How to teach problem sums

To draw math models to illustrate the math questions is a good way to teach kids the problem sums. Because it visually represents the information in the problem and then kids can easily understand and write down the correct calculations.

Must be familiar with the common language used in problem sum phrasing.
