Where to buy science kits and science lab apparatus?

Postby Imami » Mon Sep 01, 2014 9:17 am

Hello!

Anyone knows where can I get science kits and science lab apparatus?

So far, I know the following sell them:

- learning store
- science center

Any other options? Thanks.

Imami,

What about those science experimental books? You can conduct experiments using tools from home.

If you have not come across these books, I can post pictures. Let me know.

 I haven't bought any books yet. Was googling around yesterday and thought maybe I shd try getting the tools first? Some experiments call for test tubes and beakers. While we can make do using whatever we have at home, I thought I want to "formalize" these home science experiments.

:please: But it would be great if you can point some good books to me...

Ok. Sure. I know what you mean.

Just thought perhaps can suggest with cheaper options first because I think these apparatus can be costly. But hey, you do what you think is best. I will post pictures in a while.

Imami,

Take a look at these. You may or may not find them useful.

Most of them were given by friends as gifts or passed down. one was bought from garage sale here.

The page below is from Matter Matters! After presenting the facts, there will be a small experiment to conduct.

This one is classified into different categories like Astronomy, Chemistry etc ....

Actually, if you can browse in the library, should be able to get hold of similar books.

It can be quite fun hunting for stuff at home to conduct experiments. And then getting the kids to write down their observations. I am going to implement the recording down part this year end holiday. DS has no excuse, he is already doing individual writing in school

These are kits you can purchase even from NTUC, book section. I got them to give away as gifts. They are not too expensive.
