Q&A : P3 Chinese and Eng syllabus 2016

Postby yewsm » Mon Nov 09, 2015 11:12 pm

Where can I find the P3 Chinese and Eng syllabus ? Specifically the sections that will come out in the test paper eg punctuation, rearrange given words to form a proper sentence, hanyu pinyin, etc (these are just egs) ? MOE website is not so detailed.

Get from school. Moe don't have guideline for p3 papers and up to school to set. Even the top schools papers sections may differ from school to school. But some basic structure are there. Can use as rough guide.

Schools likely to have given past year papers to practice before the actual exams, so you can use that as a good gauge. Try to link up with the parents in the same school physically or here to find out more.

The kind of books to get also depends on what weakness areas you want to target and are you looking at drilling basic or higher order thinking or exam rev prep, as what is useful for one may not be for another person.

For exam rev prep, top schools past papers are very useful but their answers some incorrect.

Hi, I wanted to share with you a good deal: VivaLing, the world's first online languages academy for kids, very popular in Europe and in the US, is now opening classes for P3 students in Singapore for English and Chinese. They have a special offer: - 25% for their very small group tuitions- s$291 for one term. They follow the MOE curriculum. Very convenient and affordable solution! Hope this can help some of you. Cheers
