Primary 4 Grading System

Postby Cervelo » Sat Mar 31, 2012 9:28 am

I looked but found non online. Can anyone share in clear terms how is my P4 Boy graded from CA1 to SA2 and how does the school compile his results end of the year? I used to think it is the average of all 4 periods but from what I heard recently, this is not so.

Hi there,
Are you able to get the info from your boy's school website or maybe from the class form teacher? The grading system is different for every level and varies for every school.

In general, if your child has CA1, SA1, CA2 & SA2, the computation of End-of-year Result will look something similar to this:-

Primary 4
10%CA1 + 20%SA1 + 10%CA2 + 60%SA2

Again, I have to reiterate that it really varies from school to school and you really have to re-confirm with the class Form Teacher

For Language papers, still have to take into consideration components like, Composition, Oral and Listening Compre
Maybe, you can take a look at this:-
