Can someone please help me with the following question :-

Q : The ratio of Stella's money to Finn's money at first is 9 : 25. Stella and Finn shared the cost of a present in the ratio of 1 : 4. Stella used 1/3 of her money to pay for the present. Finn had $221 after paying for the present.
(a) How much did Stella have at first ?
(b) What is the cost of the present ?

Hi I need a help to solve the problems
1) Keagan spent 25%of his money on petrol & $70 on food. He then spent 30% of his remanding money on clothes & $105 on groceries. He was left with $35, how much money did he have at first?.


2) Lukas & Jason share some stickers.The ratio of Lukas stickers to Jason stickers was 3:5.After Lukas gave away 20 stickers,Lukas has half as many stickers as Jason. How many more stickers Lukas give away in order to have 20% of Jason's stickers?

3) In a hall chairs are arranged in rows such that there were exactly 15 chairs in each row. For a performance 7 more chairs were added into the hall and all the chairs were rearranged. There are now 11 chairs in each row and 9 more rows than before.How many chairs in the hall for the performance?

If the shawl weighs 9.8 g and the towel weighs 6.5 g, find the difference in mass between the bedsheet and the pillow case.

If the shawl weighs 9.8 g and the towel weighs 6.5 g, find the difference in mass between the bedsheet and the pillow case.

5u ---> 12.5 x 4 = 50

1u ---> 50/5 = 10

Pillow case + Towel : 2u ---> 10 x 2 = 20 g

Shawl + Bedsheet : 3u ---> 10 x 3 = 30 g

Bedsheet --> 30 - 9.8 = 20.2 g

Pillow case ---> 20 - 6.5 = 13.5 g

20.2 - 13.5 = 6.7 g

The difference in mass between the bedsheet and the pillow case was 6.7 g.

100% remainder ---> 140/70 x 100 = $200

75% ---> 200 + 70 = $270

100% ---> 270/75 x 100 = $360

He had $360 at first.

L : J (at first）--- 6u : 10u

L : J (in the end) --- 6u - 20 : 10u

6u - 20 ---> 10u/2 = 5u

1u ---> 20

10u ---> 20 x 10 = 200

20% x 200 = 40

6u - 20 ---> 20 x 6 - 20 = 100

100 - 40 = 60

Lukas should give away 60 more stickers in order to have 20% of Jason's stickers.


3) In a hall chairs are arranged in rows such that there were exactly 15 chairs in each row. For a performance 7 more chairs were added into the hall and all the chairs were rearranged. There are now 11 chairs in each row and 9 more rows than before.How many chairs are there in the hall for the performance?

11 x 9 = 99

99 - 7 = 92

15 - 11 = 4

92/4 = 23

23 + 9 = 32

32 x 11 = 352 chairs

There are 352 chairs in the hall for the performance.

Hi kangkangteo thanks for your answers but I don't understand in 2 nd question how u got the ratio 6:10 at first & why u did 10 divide by 2.
