height of shaded triangle -> h
height of big triangle -> 2h
Area of big triangle -> 1/2(b)(2h) =bh
Area of shaded triangle -> 1/2b(h) = 14
Area of unshaded part between the big triangle and shaded = bh-1/2bh =1/2bh = 14
Hence area of total unshaded part -> 14 x 2 = 28 cm2

Ans: (2)

P : B -> 5 : 29
29 = 5 x 5 + 4 = 5 x 4 + 9 = 5 x 3 + 14
Packets of 7 -> 2
Fraction is 2/5

Ans: (2)

Saj ——- 50
Thor ——- (50 – e)
Udell ——- (50 – e) + 10 = (60 – e)

Ans : (60 – e)min.

Can anyone help me with these question? Thank you :lol:

Q1) Luqman's and Bryan's salary are in the ratio 8:9 respectively. If Luqman's salary increased by 50%, by what percentage must Bryan's salary be increased so that both their salaries will be the same?

Q2) In a competition between teams A, B and C, the number of points scored by Team A and Team B was 75. Team B's score was 50% of Team C's score. Team C's score was 4 times as many as Team A's score. Find the total number of points scored by the 3 teams.

Hi,ps help. Many tks and God Bless:)

There is a total of 1036 goats and ducks in a farm. 2/9 of the number of goats is equal to 3/5 of the number of ducks.

(a) How many goats are there on the farm?

(b) 1/6 of the goats are sold. Express the number of goats remaining in the farm as a fraction of the number of ducks in the farm. Express the fraction in its simplest form.

L -> 8u
B -> 9u

After L increased by 50% (4u), L -> 12u
B needs to increase by 12u - 9u = 3u

% increase -> 3u / 9u x 100 = 33.33%

A -> 1u
B -> 2u (50% of C)
C -> 4u (4 times of A)
Total -> 7u

A + B -> 3u = 75
1u = 25

7u -> ?
