There were 2 ballrooms in a hotel. Ballroom A and ballroom B. In the morning, there were 420 fewer spoons in ballroom a than ballroom b. In the afternoon, 1/6 of the spoons in ballroom b were moved to ballroom a. In evening 1/7 of spoons in ballroom a were moved back to ballroom b.at the end of the day, 2/3 of spoons in ballroom b were moved back again to ballroom a.if there were 820 more spoons in balloom a than in ballrooms b in the end, how many spoons were in ballroom a at the end of the day?

Daniel and his friends wanted to paint the rooms of a new house. If they paint 6 rooms per day, they will be able to complete painting all of the rooms ahead of time by 1 day. If they paint 4 rooms per day, they will be behind schedule by 2 days. How many rooms are there?

6 x (T - 1) = 4 x (T + 2)NerdyMath wrote:Daniel and his friends wanted to paint the rooms of a new house. 6 T - 4 T = 8 + 6

2 T = 14

T = 14/2

= 7 days

6 x 6 = 36 rooms (or 4 x 9 = 36)

There are 36 rooms.

80/(5 – 1) = 20

95 – 20 = 75

Alternatively,

Let x and y be the number of $2- and $10- notes respectively.

x + y ——- 95

x + 5y ——- 175

4y ——- 175 – 95 = 80

1y ——- 80/4 = 20

95 – 20 = 75

Ans : 75 $2-notes.

For A :

6u + 1u + 70 = 7u + 70

7u + 70 - 1u - 10 = 6u + 60

6u + 60 + 4u + 240 = 10u + 300

For B :

6u + 420 - 1u - 70 = 5u + 350

5u + 350 + 1u + 10 = 6u + 360

6u + 360 - 4u - 240 = 2u + 120

10u + 300 - 2u - 120 = 820

8u ------- 640

1u -------- 640/8 = 80

10u + 300 = 10 x 80 + 300 = 1100

Ans : 1100 spoons.
