Dear Sruthi,Sruthi wrote: please help with another question

This is a question testing our students on their understanding of Common Factors. Students need to list factors and find common factors. Then, they are to use their knowledge of multiplications to deduce the value of A, B and C in order to solve this.

Kindly refer to the attached solution with explanations.

Hi Madrigal88Madrigal88 wrote:Help me with this question

Class 6A has 60 pupils.Class 6B has 30 pupils. The pupils in both classes took the same test and scored an average of 90 marks.Given that the average score of Class 6B was 7 marks higher than that of Class 6A,find the average score of Class 6A.

Thanks.

Good Evening.

You’ll not get a nice whole number as an answer for your question.

Perhaps, you want to check with your source.

There might be an error with “60 pupils”

Change it to “40 pupils”, the answer for the average score of Class 6A will be 87.

Give it a try. Jia you.

Please post your questions in the PSLE Maths thread in the future.

Best wishes

need help

Both Crystal and Damien received a sum of money. If Crystal had spent the same amount of money per day and Damien had spent three times that amount per day, Damien would have $438 left while Crystal would have spent all her money.

If Damien had spent a certain amount of money and Crystal had spent thrice of that amount in the same number of days, Damien would have $798 left but Crystal would have spent all of her money.

How much money did Damien receive?

Should re-phrase and simplify the question :lulu2014 wrote:need help
