### Re: Answering Science OE questions techniques

Many questions are divided into (a) and (b), which total marks could be 3.

The qns that > 2 marks are those with 4 or 6 boxes to fill in.

Why are they making science like Literature, where u need a framework to answer questions? But yet they don standardize/provide a framework for the student to use?

So say a question like this: You touch a cat, will the cat move? Explain your answers.
Is "Yes" enough? or Need "Yes, when you touch the cat, it will move."

Is " The cat response to touch" enough ? Or
"Because the cat response to external stimuli" Or
"The cat is a living thing. It response to stimuli".

What is the least to you need to write to get the full mark?

For your first question, the answer should be Yes, it will move. For your 2nd qn, all thee answers were acceptable in our school upto P4. Again, I read somewhere that the answering techniques will be more stringent from P5 onwards.
