Totally disagree with this! What kind of values are the parents trying to inculcate in their children? Disgusted with the parents.

who knows, who knows, what's the impact on the kids......

Maybe for some, yrs later it's just a silly thing that they did with their parents after PSLE, they may even have a good laugh over it. Maybe for some, it will have a deeper imprint. Who knows, who knows.......

Whatever it is, it's interesting to see what a demon PSLE has become for some parents to cause them to act in a manner that has caused such disapproval against them.

They are just too happy to see our people in contempt with our gov (in this case, MOE)...

Yup, people are waiting to see us slip; we have done too well all these years.

The way they set fire to burn books (picture on page 1):-
Remind me of 7th month hungry ghost, people burn stuff for them in netherworld.

Also remind me of history where in one dynasty, emperor gave orders to burn books, scholars can't read.

Once people start this new trend of burning Psle books (thinking is fun or funny), the next thing to see will be another group of people burning "o" level, "n" level, "a" level books.

What value are the kids learning ?
Since Psle over, books no use already, become rubbish, just discard, throw away Lor.
Likewise when these parents grow old, their kids had been taught "my parents old already, become useless, just dump them into old folks home, no need to bother about them. Old folks home will take care of them. No need to visit them"
Parents who teach kids burn books - be careful.
You reap what you sow. Children are taught "Useless things, become rubbish. Discard"

It's a cycle.

We do what we can but there will be ups and downs. It's a process. Part and parcel of the development of a young nation.

Next yr, the town council, or energetic parents or local green group should organise a nation wide collection of post PSLE / P6 materials for recycling. 2015 will be tested under the new format and some materials will not be useful anymore.

Some of this yr P5 materials may not be able to reuse for next yr P5 students liao.

What's the difference bet buring PSLE stuff and O/N/A level, IP/ poly and uni materials?

If dont re-use, as in pass to someone else, or recycle, as in make into something else, eventually will end up in the incinerator when throw down the rubbish chute.

All of my study notes have been incinerated long time ago, mine is the legal way lah.
