Mathematically speaking, all 0.5 will be rounded up to the nearest whole number. I dont know any method that rounds down a 0.5.

If you’re asking about 0.4 maybe rounded down I dunno.

So far all my 0.5, 0.75, rounded up.

So your 89.5 is = 90 = AL1.
Ok thanks. This jump from one AL to another AL is scary.. and it could be just 0.5 or 1 mark difference.

All the best. Meantime my son has finally clawed his way out of the deep pit of AL6 by getting 130/200 for CL.

Thanks!
One step at a time. Chinese is also my son’s weakness, but this round just lucky that his tutor spotted the compo and oral correctly. It doesn’t mean he will do the same for PSLE, high risk…

Let’s add oil and support the kids as much as we can! :rahrah:

Congrats.

Meanwhile...

I just discovered this MOE PSLE Score Calculator thingy... amazing. Make shortlisting schools a breeze.

Honestly, it doesn't matter because you wouldn't get to know the raw score for PSLE.

Yes that’s true. For PSLE we won’t know. Only for school results.

A variety show hosted by Christopher Lee. Every episode fellow celebrities are invited as guest to Ubin island for a day of nostalgic kampung getaway with cooking and yesteryears childhood games. Last night episode, our minister of education was the guest. In that episode he revealed his education philosophy for his child. You can watch it here, go to last episode , number 8

I assume you’re looking for EL compo ? If your kid needs help for plot formation and writing techniques , I find Writers & Work good . They teach techniques like mentioning the topic at least 3x in the compo (to ensure doesn’t steer away from topic) and also teach you some nice “flowery” sentences (nothing too bombastic that’s sounds too rehearsed). My dd benefitted a lot from it .

She also tried another one - Write Connection. This one is for already competent writers who need strengthening on plot development .
