I have never heard of this center. But.

Since you have mentioned that your child is in their P6 class right now (several other threads), I guess this center is doing its job for you, so I highly recommend you continue with them for sec 1 prep and sec 1 regular class. And if you sign up now, I am guessing you will get a slot so you wont end up like your friend who didnt manage to get one last year.

For interest, i find sec 1 maths is no big leap from p6 maths, in fact some of the questions are much easier, for us.
Sec 1 prep classes for whatever subjects are totally unnecessary.

BUT...
If parents feel like spending money, I can provide my Paypal account and I welcome them to send some my way

P/S: Threadstarter is a Stan for the tuition centre. Maybe, she can try to be a little less obvious?

Thanks for your kind reply.

More of wanting to understand if other parents also sent their kids to such prep courses. And also to understand if the kids have seen any difference after attending such course. This is the first time my kid is going Sec 1, so Ineed to now the expectation of a Secondary and is it necessary for us to send kid to such prep courses...

Dear Mks, there's No overwhelming difficulty in Sec1/IP1 Maths, especially for your dd's standard, no worries at all. Plus, algebra rules + explanations can be easily found online.
Thanks
