Hi all, I’m a scholar looking to give math and science, for primary, secondary and polytechnic levels. Hoping to share my tips and experience as a student with my client and motivate him/ her to excel in their studies. Been giving tuition to students for the past 5 years with students improving from 56 to 88 marks, etc. I’m an experienced tutor that will utilize different teaching styles catered to each child, pointing out their weaknesses and suggesting practical approaches to improve their results.

Hi everyone,

Pls do consider my child’s tutor who is a math and science specialist. He is encouraging and patient when teaching. My oldest Son who was struggling with his S1 science last year improved tremendously from a C6 to an A2 by his end of year exam.

Unlike most tutors out there, this tutor is able to tap on the potentials of your child. He teaches his students the proper and effective answering techniques to tackle those questions. Furthermore, he is clear in his explanation and likes being visual to help his students visualise and better their understanding. Like most parents out there, I have spent lots of money trying to help my children. I can assure u that this tutor is unlike any others.

For any parents out there looking for a tutor, pls pm me directly for his contact info. For rates u can check with him directly. Lastly, I wish all parents out there all the best and pls contact me as soon as possible for his contact as I heard his slots are very limited

Re: Secondary / IP Chemistry

Dear parents,

I am Ms Choy, a full time Chemistry tutor offering 1-to-1 home tuition. I have tutored both IP students and students who took N/O-Level Pure Chemistry or Combined Science (Chemistry) in the past 12 years. My highest qualification is M.Sc.(NUS).

Students under my tutelage generally improved by 5 grades, if not, achieved A1 in their final examinations. Some of the track records include:
RVHS IP: from B4 (Y3 EOY) to A1 (Y4 EOY)
NJC IP: from B3 (Y3 YEA) to A1 (Y4 YEA)
Sec 4(E): from F9 to B4 in O-Level Combined Science
Sec 4(N): from borderline pass to 80% in N-Level Combined Science (Chemistry) prelim exam
Sec 4(E): obtained A1 in O-Level Pure Chemistry
VS IP: from F (Y4 SA1) to B3 (Y4 SA2)
NYGH IP: from F (Y4 MYE & EYE) to B3 or better (Y4 FA) after a one-month intensive tuition with me
NYGH IP: obtained A1 (Y1-6), Grade A (A-Level H2 Chem)
RI IP: with me from Y3-6, Grade A (A-Level H2 Chem)

I customize my own teaching materials to cater to individual student’s needs based on my assessment of his/her learning style and ability, and areas for improvement. “Teach a man to fish” is the principle I based upon in imparting content mastery and examination skills to the students, hence questioning techniques will be used to guide their thinking processes at their pace, through which they build their confidence.

Teaching is my passion. As a Mother of two teenage girls, I enjoy and believe in building a good rapport with my students, to become not only their tutor, but an encouraging mentor. Many of my previous students and parents are still in contact with me, I would be able to provide their testimonials as required.

Please feel free to PM or contact me at 84961494 if you are looking for a Chemistry home tutor around the west, central and south area of Singapore. Thank you.
