I think my dd was very relaxed because there was no homework, no projects, no deadlines to meet and she claimed that she already knew "everything" when I nagged her to study. I guess having a CO does take off the stress too.

oic, Mmm.... I like that too. No homework, no projects, etc sound wonderful.
Hope my dd will be able to get a CO too.

All the best to your dd! Join as many relevant competitions as possible, will look gd in resume.

Sometimes, I wonder how to join competitions when she is already shortage of time. Really amaze of such kids, have time to participate this & that. May I know what sort of competitions does your ds/dd participate? Learning to help my dd look good on her resume.... got to give it a try.

Hi comfy,
IMHO, first you have to identify yr dd's strengths. My dd participated mostly in math n sci competitions.

Yes, I know, is just that I wonder whether does the school inform ALL kids/parents of ALL competitions all thru' the year. I know that if you are not selected in the math competitions at the beginning of the year, you won't hear of the competitions ever again (in her school). Sometimes, just wonder whether the kid will have a chance to join a competition/camp if she didn't participate or not selected in the beginning of the year.
