I was looking for "An American Childhood" & "I know why the caged birds sing" at Kinokuniya but was told out-of-stock. Anyone want to sell me their old copy or know anywhere I can find them?
MTIA!

Hi Flowermonaster,

The 2 books you mentioned "An American Childhood" and "I know why the caged birds sing" - are these children's novels or books used in the GEP?? For English? Literature???

It's the P6 GEP Extensive Reading Programme list. They are part of the choices for Term 1 work.

Some of those books are under "repository' category in library... means already discarded... if you asked in Kinokuniya, you can ask them when was the last time the book was sold... sometimes maybe few months or years ago... Those under term 1 more difficult to find. If I'm not wrong, only managed to find 2 or 3.

Thanks Syshi for the info. Kinokuniya staff told me the last copy was sold on Tuesday.

Can try other bookstore.. or other option, buy from Amazon.

2. I know why the caged birds sing

Hi parents,

May I know how you determine which GEP sch to go to? What are the strong factors that affects your choice?

I would love some insights on the following schools:

1) NYPS
2) NHPS
3) HHPS
4) ACS

I would really appreciate your greatest advice before we make the important choice..Thank you!!

For us, very simple. Whatever my DS chose, he is the one studying not me. Good or bad, he will have to learn how to overcome it. So far, he is happy with his choice & he is happy, we r happy too.
