Any parent whose child has been selected for the science masterclass before? Can share your experience in terms of the time commitment required from the child? Other than going for the lessons and workshops, do they also need to spend a lot of time doing research at home?

Among the different masterclasses(maths, English, science), it seems like the science one has the greatest commitment..almost all the Wednesdays afternoon from April to September, except the school holidays. I am hesitate if the program is worth the time and commitment given that p5 is already a challenging year. And child is a slow coach, or rather easily distracted and cannot focus well to finish work fast.
