What % of the GEP is beyond the PSLE syllabus

Postby iRabbit » Fri Jul 25, 2014 7:00 pm

With 2014 GEP screening tests just around the corner, tot I'll do a quick poll to share with potential geppers what they're up against should they accept the offer.

Just a fun poll, nothing serious, ok?

OK, I try not to be funny, but which option should I take leh ? U hv 10 avail options to select from... :yikes:

OK OK, seriously, we all know that SS is compulsory and this is Not part of PSLE topics. That means MIN 20 % ( 1 out of 5 subj) shd be beyond PSLE.. So how can one select between 1 to 10% ? Not to mention, for the other subjects, espy Eng & Math, GEP prog certainly is beyond PSLE topics .

So what shd the realistic option to yr question ????

Hmmm...

Frankly, I don't think much, if any of the Math ds is doing so far will appear in the PSLE exam. They're pretty abstract, though I'm getting used to them by now and it no longer shock me.

I think a poll like this is good as it reveals to parents of future geppers that GEP is not meant to help their kids excel in PSLE. If they want to solely focus on PSLE, their kids should remain in mainstream.

Btw, you haven't voted yet.

Aiya, those who already set their mind on gep (child already bored to tears in p1 to p3), will jump in regardless of relevance to psle syllabus

The indecisive (perhaps caught by surprise) ones, will wanna try try too. Afterall, why not? No venture no gain

Those who opt out are actually the super decisive ones who know clearly their kids won't enjoy the programme
