New Born Baby

Postby luyeni » Fri May 08, 2009 2:12 pm

Hi,
I had just given birth to a baby boy one month ago, he has the habit of stretching his whole body and making sounds as if having constipation?
I suspect he is very colicky. Any remedies to cure the colic besides applying ruyi oil & giving gripe water & rid wind medicine?

Anyone with same experience? :?:

babies stretch a lot when they are young. so no worries. :)

Hi DS2 is 8 wks now... DW complains that he is a noisy sleeper cos even when he sleeps he makes the constipated sound as he stretches ... think it's normal cos they need to stretch to grow :)

you can try baby massage. Not too sure if Gleneagles Hospital still has this prog. I attended it at the Annex Block.

Your baby is too young so don't worry.

Babies produce all sorts of weird noises so don't scare yourself, it's probably ok

Your baby is still very young so you don't have to worry. You just have to make sure that baby has a proper sleep pattern. Massage your baby everyday with babyoil to ensure that they get proper sleep. My son initially had a lot of trouble sleeping. I then took the help of a newborn sleep training specialist http://www.newmummycompany.ca/services/sleep-training/. He now sleeps well.

I forgot to add, mustard oil is the best for massaging your baby's skin, especially during winter. If you still have troubling getting your baby to sleep why not try this out?
