Hi,

Anyone send their kids to the above learning centre for tuition? If yes, please give us your review. Much appreciated!

hi Sengkangmum, i hope u havent enrol there. I paid everything registration, deposit and fee .. and my youngest daughter attended their 1st lesson in the evening 7.30-9... to my horror, they allowed those 8 years kids to go toilet and playing during break at the mrt there while teacher was marking the workbook (They don''t have worksheet but using the book own published by Success. The book cost less than $7 but they charged me $20. when i asked them, since the book is own publishing shouldn't it be cheaper than outside ? Miss Lee, the principal told me normal for them to get in advance $20, by the end of the year, if there is excess, they will refund which i doubt parents will remember to count this few dollars, or if there is shortage, they will get from parents. I told her should't she already know how many books they use per year ? and why they allowed young children to go outside play chit chat ? teacher supposed to mark after lesson ? i am not paying them 1.5hr fee for playing time 15-20 min while marking. And how it is dangerous as it is mrt where lots strangers passing by.. she then told me mrt are secured with 60 cctvs so nothing to worry saying i am over protective.. i asked her again, who should we look for if anything happen to kids ? the school or mrt ? she then told me no parents ever complained except me. y dun ask my gal dun join the playing time but sit in classroom while teacher marking ? ridiculuos .. i asked her .. which kids will do that ? they want to socialise with peers. I got my refund but waste the 1st lesson fee, registration as well .. thats cost me $100++ after i told her staff i will write to MOE if she still insisted to hold my balance of $.

I would like to thank the teachers at Learning Habitat at Hougang Ave 8 Blk 684, #04-967 , . My son achieved 7 distinctions for his O Level results. His tuition mate also did very well with 8 distinctions. Thanks again.
