Dear all, Thank you for your advice. Both private and group have their pros and cons. However, I do agree that it all depends on 'luck' and 'timing'.

Any school with small group recommendation? or private tutor for low income family?

Estimated cost for External MO June Holiday on NMOS topics:
1) Asia Math - 3 days x 3hrs/ class x4 = SGD1500 (SGD375 X4)
2) Themathclassroom - 4 days x 2hrs = SGD2000 (SGD500/week)

Hope someone can help our lower tier children who may be a little 'gifted' but could not afford to follow the culture of OM.

I conduct NMOS training in June Holiday. The complete lessons will be divided into 2 parts, each with 4 x 2.5 hrs sessions. Target to cover around 12 topics. The cost is $500 for each, but with discount for early bird, before 10th May 2019.

You may visit my Forum page or iworksingapore.wordpress.com for more details on the program, my students achievement, as well as my profile.

Thanks.

If your objective is to broaden your kid exposure to math olympiad type of Q, the class size should not be a main concern. At p5/p6, class size ard 10 is good enough, and the cost will be much lower.

Also based on experience, kids benefit more from weekly lesson than packed holiday program. Especially if the kid is new to MO, he/she needs time to "digest" each topic.

As to tuitor, i agree with @Rio, the outside tuitors are much better than school ones, even they came from same center, using the same materials. You may check the records of the interested tuition center (no. of gold in nmos, platinum&gold in smop and HD in ripmwc in recent yrs), which is a good indicator of the training standard.

Hi all, my DS took part in SASMO - this year through school and cleared the bronze level. I understand that the next level he is eligible to participate is SIMOC. The fee seems to be quite high for this level around 570+! Does the school select candidates fr this level or do we need take privately? Thank u ..
