Postby blotchdudu » Tue May 25, 2010 5:17 pm

Hello Everyone!

I am searching for a Creative writing (English) June holidays course for my daughter who is in P5 now.

Her marks is not so good. (26-27 upon 40)

I checked BBC. I could not effort (S$525 for 5 days).
I checked Learning Lab and Learning point. They do not have for June Holidays programme.

I heard about TAS but it is too far for us.

Please advise me ASAP.

Thank you. :?

Hi,

Literacy Circle has creative writing programmes during the June Holidays. You may have to call them for the schedule as different centres have different time schedules.

The programs are 4-5 days (depending on the centre).

hi Engtutor,
You seem to recommend LCentral. I wonder if you have any personal experience with LCentral...
I am looking around for a effective Creative Writing program for my dd.

Dear Engtutor,

Thanks for your recommendation.
I have called LCentral in Thomson but they do not have a creative writing course for P5. There is available in lower primary level.

Thanks again.

Hi blotchdudu,

There is an English enrichment centre called Literacy Plus near Buona Vista which has a holiday program called "P5 Effective Writing". Not sure whether its near your place.

Here's the website.

Hi Sharon,

I am a teacher at LCentral. Just informing everyone who wants to know about our holiday writing program.

Titank,

The holiday program is quite intensive, planning and structure is also covered. Yes, P1's will be taught how to write a well structured paragraph.
Exercises to expand vocabulary are used for the higher primary level.
