The teachers are mostly English native speakers (maybe Australians of British). For pre-schoolers, I think its ok. When my DS goes to Primary, I switched him to local enrichment centres.

What does the course comprise of? Today I wanted to get their brochure but they were closed. Did you see any improvement in your child after attending? How much did you pay? They quoted me $600 plus excluding deposit which is another $110 more.

My daughter attended for almost a month now. Thumbs up for Mrs Purchase. Dedicated teacher. I heard from one of the parents that she is very good. Thank God!
I like their system of allowing children to borrow two books per session. Parents are to read with them. In the next session, they are to read to their teacher, then the teacher will record her comments in their reading record. Good system!
In their way, there is parent teacher involvement in child's education.

Anyway has any comments on their program for primary 1 level? Is it compatible with MOE curriculum? Is lesson fun or is it hectic?

Hi,
Hope someone who has sent before to answer your question. I am keen to send my eldest son to their p1 study centre too.
If I am not wrong, their focus seems to let the child enjoy the language more than academic results.

Hi,

My DD (K2 this yr) has been with LWSC English Enrichment for 2 yrs since she was in N2. It has greatly help her to instill language interest esp in reading... and her words recognition has improved too! Most importantly, she told me she like the class too! I must admit that the fees are quite ex but I can see +ve results so far.

She has the discipline to read the 2 books every night on her own and she is enjoying reading so far! I like their system of grading each student individually and move up to next reading level once they felt the child's reading ability has reached.

Hi,

Don't know whether you will be reading this post as this was posted 2 yrs back already but anyway I hope you can share with us with regards to the grading system. You have mentioned that each student will move up to the next reading level once the child's reading ability has achieved. I thought all students will be place in the respective classes based on their age level? For eg. age 3 will be N1 & 4 will be N2 etc. What do you mean by this statement? Hope you can share with us.

Or is there any parents with their kids in Lorna Whiston English Enrichment class now? Can share their system of teaching & grading? Thanks!

Anybody with their kids in Teacher Rose's class? How's the teacher & is she good? Anybody can share?
