Parents hardship and effort go to vain. We can't stop what other family does but we can't beat the environmnet from turning against us. If you find that your neighbours and friends are making this kind of mistakes...Do play a apart to stop this vicious cycle. Pick up and learn the right pronunciation from the beginning... for the sake of the children. Please be alert and not to pass on and on.

For better tomorrow!

princeton and KiasuGrandMaster XI, why don't you advise which characters is wrong? I love to pick up the right ones. I seek my friends for help (they did better than me in School days) but they keep preaching that :"No need so perfect", "anyhow oso can". This 200% reflected that in SG, it is hard to pick up right lines and hear right gramma form of conversation in both languages, with educated adults, friends, at home, hawker, MRT trains, libraries... Please do not underestimate the destruction caused by poor spoken Bilingual skills. Didn't you realized the power now?

I am not sure if you could feel the pain..In SG, so long that you speaks proper Mandarin, it is easy to be mistaken as China National, many educated working adults have low ability to identify good and poor Mandarin so if you speaks slightly better or used correct phrases, you are considered very good to many people.
I am weaker in English and recognized the important to built strong and good foundation but this is very hard to achieve in SG when many educated adults and students preferred broken Mandarin and English/ Singlish everywhere you go, home, hawker, even libraries. The public is filled with educated people in poor standard of spoken Bilingual skills and this has reflected poorly on local education and the quality of local raised. Apart from not easy to hear and learn proper English when unsure, I waste my time handling objection and work very hard to maintain my English standard and this is what I felt my daughter would suffer like me. These are the reasons I want to take my gal to US for Kindergarten education. SG has made me realized that the longer I stay here(In this kind of environment), the further the deterioration in the Bilingual skills.. that is why I went to US to work on 2 occasions and during my stay, I picked up lines again and rebuilt my English standard.
Else, everyone helps to lift up the standard to have that enviroment.

Not only quite a number of mistakes, there is also a mixture of traditional and simplified Chinese characters in the passage. Makes me wonder the background of the writer :scratchhead:
