May I know what's the reason for the switch? Thot TH is always full house and very difficult to get a place. And they have long waiting list?

She was with TH bishan and the young teacher is good. Unfortunately, it crashes with her schedule next year and I can't find another suitable time slot in Bishan.

I know there is a new branch starting soon in Bishan, not sure if it's moved from Thomson. I hv checked with various centres on their class timetable and found a suitable timeslot, sunday morning, at the orchard branch. My girl will attend the trial first.

I am also checking out Jiang education's "shuang yu" class. 1.5 hrs each for chinese and english. My girl's classmate is now attending the holiday classes and found it interesting.

The Bishan branch is currently in operation, because i just went there to check the course for my kids. But the weekend timing are mostly fully taken up.

Do you consider Orchard a central location?

This branch is very established, teachers are caring and responsible. Admin staffs are friendly and helpful.

This branch had been previously recommended to me by a mother who had sent her 3 children there. They had all "graduated" from this branch (They stayed till end of P6..I think Berries only offered till P6 back then) Even when her children had reached JCs, she still think Berries had built a strong Chinese foundation in all the children.

hi usaik,

Thanks. Berries Orchard is what I hv arranged for a trial class on 1st lesson next year. Both the time slot and location are good for us.

I am also considering Jiang - 3 hrs "Shuang Yu" class where chinese is taught by the principal and English by her daugher. But they do not offer trial class, so hv to pay in advance sch fees of abt $1000 for 20 lessons. The disadv is the big class size.

I send my girl to kemangan side. When she was young, i will usually try to zoom down which teacher is good. Now, as she is older.,I dont really choose the teacher cos nowadays teachers are about the same...I like the material though.
