Hearing Aid for elderly

Postby CarrotTree » Fri Aug 16, 2013 10:28 am

Does anyone know where I can buy a simple hearing aid to use by elderly and the likely cost.
The person using it is very elderly so it must be simple to use.
tks

I think this one needs 'prescription'. Gotta visit an ENT for him to assess what's needed.

My brother-in-law around 60 and now oredi hard in hearing (that I think may be due to his long hours on handphone for years). He just made the 'invisible' type that cost him about $7000 :yikes: . He has to take time to adjust the 'volume' of the aid (powered by battery) till he finally feels comfortable.

Think better get assessed by a doctor first (polyclinic refer to hospital?) then get the doc to propose alternative coz if too loud may affect the hearing further.
