Any Aircraft hobbist here?

Postby Jennifer » Mon Oct 28, 2013 3:32 pm

Not sure whether this is the right forum to post this qn.

Would like to know where to get a starter kit for a 12 yo.

Appreciate your inputs.

Hi Jennifer, perhaps you can browse and check here ?

Most are into building and racing cars, but there are some truckers and flyers too. The problem with plane is the place to fly them. Can PM me if you need more info. Good to hear new hobbyist. My boy's into trucks for a year now. Consequently, wallet's very thin.

There is a large vacant land at Blackmore Rd, seen many aircraft hobbists in the early morning flying their crafts there.

Is this an expensive hobby?

My boy wanted sth that needs assembly.

I surfed the web, many are adults. Am wondering whether little kids are into this hobby.

Any recommendations on where to buy airplane models to assemble? My 9-year old DS is into aircrafts and would like to buy him one where he can assemble.

Thanks in advance.
