Printing without a printer

Post by mathsparks » Fri Dec 18, 2009 4:16 pm

Hi,
Am posting this for anyone who needs to print documents but is stuck without a printer.

For eg, you're at your laptop, no printer connected, but have placed an online order, or your child has a project to print but your home printer is giving all sorts of nonsensical problem, no more frownies or worries. I know how impt that can be when you've to capture that piece of evidence that you've paid/booked/etc.

With cutepdf, you simply print your document by selecting the printer called Cutepdf Writer and voila! the document is printed to a pdf format which you can copy to flash disk and print it either in the office or school.

Goto http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/Writer.asp , click on free download on the left.

Another useful software is Gadwin PrintScreen.

It is a freeware. Once downloaded and installed in your PC, just hit a key and the webpage or whatever is on your screen gets "printed" into a PDF file.

I found it really useful when I was travelling and still had to do some online transactions where I had to save the receipt or acknowledge pages.

Google for it and have fun! :D

If you want to print just a portion of whatever shown on the screen, use this freeware call SnapaShot.
