Pros and cons of wall mounted TV

Postby Han Seo » Wed Sep 02, 2015 4:16 pm

Hi everyone,

We are moving house soon and we are thinking of mounting our TV set on the wall. What are the pros and cons? What if the TV breaks down and a new one has to be installed, can the same rack be used or we have to drill more holes for the new rack? Does mounting on the wall means the cables can be easily concealed?

Hoping to hear some advice.

Thank you.

We have changed our tv, from a wall mounted TV to another wall mounted TV..Don't need to drill anymore holes. They just take out the old TV and put the new TV mount at the same spot.

On the cables being concealed, hmm...I would think that cables can still be seen if you have a TV console that is not tall enough to hide it(?)..assuming that there is a TV console below. Can wait for more advice as our cables are hidden behind the built in.

Pros of having wall mounted TV is you won't worry if your child accidentally push the TV and it falls. It is actually safer to wall mounted the TV.
