Advice for Keyboard learning just for fun
Advice for Keyboard learning just for fun
Hi everyone
I have an 8 year old girl who is keen to learn the keyboard after
she had some lessons in school during Music. She learnt to play
Twinkle Little Star and was very proud of it!
Since she seem so keen on that instrument I thought I would get
her a used keyboard and get a home coach to help her. We are not
pursuing any certificate for it but more just to learn the functions
and basics of the keyboard.
I need advice regarding:
1. Which keyboard do I get? There seem so many!
2. Any one able to recommend a patient and fun coach?
I live in the Upper Bukit Timah area.

Re: Advice for Keyboard learning just for fun
Hi,
I have a 8 year old girl also wanting to learn keyboard. I stay in Pasir Ris area. Any one knows of any good teacher/school. Most of the music schools don't teach keyboard - they teach piano.
Would appreciate your help.
Thx!!

I am in the Pasir Ris area (The Livia) and teach contemporary "sing-and-play" on the piano/keyboard. Mostly I arrange songs the children want to play that approximates their level of competency, though some basic exercises are still required.
If you'd like to find out more, I'm more than happy to meet up with fellow Pasir Risians in the area. My website is: http://deswongmusic.sg

How about Yamaha JMC? They use electone keyboard. Lesson is fun and parents can sit in.

Hi,
My DS also would like to learn keyboard just for fun after attending lessons in school. Could someone please suggest for beginner like my DS, which type/brand portable keyboard suitable for him, playing just for fun, self learning?
TIA!
