Anglo-Chinese School (Independent)

Having survived PSLE. we still need to network with other parents with kids in the same Secondary school. While giving our teenagers their own space, we can update each other about the school.

I asked the boys. They said it was for cca days. But after a few months, it is quite redundant cos the cca will have their own tees.

We thought it's the PE tee so bought 2 pcs, and the lady at bibi&baba said it's for "outdoor activities" can just buy one.

PE is the tank top.
I only asked how many times is the polo tee worn a week. the lady said once so i bought 1. didn't cross my mind to ask what it was worn for. only found out from the boys when buying the corporate tee from the co-op. was wondering how many different tees to buy. :?

Polo T - hardly wear. Bought just in case when required.

Pullover - hardly wear but recommended for library use or even classroom use as you know they are air-conditioned. Though my kid hardly use, I still love it as found it's pretty cool as I love the school logo against the blue pullover.

Mine prefers to change into personal t-shirts as he feels the PE tanks are rather open at the armholes, he's lean type. It's personal choice ^_^

There was a mention of a reduction in the number of IP and Express classes this year, just like the other schools. There are 10 express classes and 5 IB classes.

Autolycus,

I have a question on the reduction of intake. From what was mentioned there is 1 less IB class this year ( maybe less Express classes too). How does this impact the number of students who will be given a chance to move in Sec 2 to IB? Would the school be still allowed to take in more students in Yr 2 to reach their steady state of 250 at year 3? Does that mean more places at Sec 2 for the O-level boys at ACSI OR would there be a proportional reduction of students given a choice to move to IB.

How does the 90 MGS girls coming in to ACSI affect the overall numbers, especially from Sec 2 O-level to IB. Please help to answer from your experience.
